Bounce

Holding her head :)

Jump-A-Roo

Jumping around! Laynie loves her jump-a-roo! We have come to discover that Laynie is slightly lazy when it comes to wanting to hold her head up on her own; mainly because we are always holding her and little effort is required on her part. Today however, I was determined to make this child hold her head all by herself, and she did great! She can do it, she is just lazy. She was absolutely fascinated by the hanging monkey, but when Kyle bounced the seat she was one happy girl!!!

View of a mother

Being a mom is the most amazing feeling in the entire world. Waking up to smiles, grins, and quite giggles is the BEST way to start my day. I look at Laynie every morning and feel so thankful for her and how healthy and happy she is. Each day holds a new adventure, and each day has a story. Motherhood is definitely one of life's best offers!

He is RISEN!

God died on the cross for us, and on the 3rd and glorious day HE ROSE! Today we celebrated Easter and went to church as a family. Laynie had a fabulous outfit, with great shoes too! It was nothing short of a fantastic day!!!

Friends, Giggles, & Grins

We are very lucky to have friends who drop everything when we need them, and love us no matter what! Here are some snap shots of friends, relatives, and moments of smiles.

Aunt and Uncle

Laynie's middle name is Aaron after my brother, Nicholas. My brother holds a special place in my heart, and I know Laynie holds a special place in his. I want her to grow and love and care for other people like my brother cares for his family, friends, and strangers. He is a great example to follow and he is one of the strongest men in my life, and my hope is for Laynie to be as strong as him when she grows up.

Aunt Amanda is always so thoughtful and caring, and I know Laynie will love her as much as I do!

Poppy & Nana Rock

"Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts."
Kyle and I are so thankful for our family. God has blessed us continuously with a family that loves, laughs, and cries with us. Each one of them love Laynie with all their hearts, and we love them for that!

When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses. ~Joyce Brothers

"Ten fingers, Ten toes, She's laughter and teardrops, So small and brand new, and amazingly angelic, She's sent to bless you, She's one special Baby, The best of life's treasure."

Baby changes everything

"A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for"

Bows Galore

After only a few weeks I learned a few things:
Never leave the house without a bow, paci, and a fabulous outfit!

Prayer

We prayed daily for a healthy baby.

Prenatal

We felt so anxious everyday waiting on Laynie to arrive!

2 + 1= 3

Welcome! I am so excited to start a blog. After nearly 12 years together Kyle and I would like to introduce our newest addition! This February we added to the family, Ms. Laynie Aaron Trotter. She was born February 15, 2011. She is such an excitement around our household! I love taking pictures of her everyday. I hope you enjoy the blog and I hope our family finds it useful for keeping up with a energetic growing girl! She is such a blessing to us and we hope she sheds sunshine on your day too!
