Open fields & Wicker chairs

Thanks to Mary Jane Murphy I was able to get some of my most favorite pictures of Laynie taken!

1st Beach Vacation: Destin 2011

Thank you so much Nana and Poppy for our first beach excursion! Laynie loved the sand, but not the ocean. Her day consisted of eating, napping on the beach, and then playing under the tent! Her and her pasty-self managed to get zero sun, thanks to SPF 60! The week was filled with eating, family, and fun...count day until next year!

Ear Piercing, oh my!

Nana took Laynie to get her ears pierced, because I didn't want to see or hear her cry! Her pediatrician's office actually did them. The first ear...no tears or screams....second ear....different story! Glad it was Nana and NOT mommy! Her diamonds do look precious though :) Here are some before and after shots!

St. Louis CARDINALS Game!!!

Laynie was fortunate enough to have Albert Pujols sign her shirt and baseball! She screamed bloody murder the whole time he autographed her shirt, ha ha ha! My cousin, Nate, threw out the 1st pitch and did great! So glad the whole family had the chance to experience a MLB game!

*4th of July*

Nothing lights up the sky like fireworks and our bright blue eyed Laynie!! Happy 4th of July!!!

Splish Splash

To Laynie, water is simply water. She loves the pool and she loves a bath! Nothing is as cute as a baby's legs kicking in the water. In early July Laynie had the opportunity to experience swimming in Nana's pool; so exciting! Of course, we had to have a few things for the occasion: new swimsuit, floppy hat, pool toys, the camera, and a new float! According to this picture...she LOVED it!

Expressions

Laynie has many facial expressions!!! She laughs, smile, smirks, sticks her bottom lip out when she is sad, and blows bubbles...just to name a few. Every morning and all day all you have to say is, "Hi" and she thinks it is funny! My favorite thing as a mom is waking up and saying Good Morning, and watching her smile, then at bedtime I kiss each side of her cheeks and let her feel my face. Being a mom is so rewarding.

4 MoNtHs!

Laynie turned 4 months on June 15th and weighed in at the pediatrician's office at 12lbs 9oz and measured 24 1/4 inches! She is a growing girl and is developing a personality of her own. Right now her favorite thing to do is chew on her hands, eat (while in the bath tub), and ride in her pink Cadillac! The evening of turning 4 months we experimented with vegetables, my oh my, this child can eat! Her first veggie was green beans! We are moving through the variety of vegetables and so far we LOVE them all! So cheers to 4 months, We love you Laynie!

Loves got a hold on you...

Laynie is nothing short of a daddy's girl!

3 Months and Growing

Laynie has hit three months old in the blink of an eye. Each day begins with the sweetest smiles, and throughout the day she smiles at me, daddy, her movies, and sometimes just smiles at nothing. Her personality is quickly developing and seems to be mischievous and content, a good mix of Kyle and I. As time goes by I cannot wait to watch her grow month to month!

Bounce

Holding her head :)

Jump-A-Roo

Jumping around! Laynie loves her jump-a-roo! We have come to discover that Laynie is slightly lazy when it comes to wanting to hold her head up on her own; mainly because we are always holding her and little effort is required on her part. Today however, I was determined to make this child hold her head all by herself, and she did great! She can do it, she is just lazy. She was absolutely fascinated by the hanging monkey, but when Kyle bounced the seat she was one happy girl!!!

View of a mother

Being a mom is the most amazing feeling in the entire world. Waking up to smiles, grins, and quite giggles is the BEST way to start my day. I look at Laynie every morning and feel so thankful for her and how healthy and happy she is. Each day holds a new adventure, and each day has a story. Motherhood is definitely one of life's best offers!

He is RISEN!

God died on the cross for us, and on the 3rd and glorious day HE ROSE! Today we celebrated Easter and went to church as a family. Laynie had a fabulous outfit, with great shoes too! It was nothing short of a fantastic day!!!

Friends, Giggles, & Grins

We are very lucky to have friends who drop everything when we need them, and love us no matter what! Here are some snap shots of friends, relatives, and moments of smiles.
